How to watermark image
Stamp your text across one image or a whole batch. Everything is measured as a share of each picture's width, so the same settings look right on a small thumbnail and a full-size photograph without being adjusted for either.
- 1Add your imagesDrop them anywhere on this page, paste with Ctrl+V, or use the picker. Nothing is uploaded until you press Watermark.
- 2Write the mark and place itSet the text, size, colour, opacity and angle, then pick one of the nine positions — or repeat it across the whole image.
- 3Watermark and downloadOne image comes back on its own; several come back as a ZIP, every one marked identically.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the watermark be the right size on every image?
- Yes. The size is a percentage of each image’s own width rather than a fixed number of pixels, so a 500-pixel thumbnail and a 5000-pixel original come back looking proportionally the same.
- How do I make a watermark hard to remove?
- Turn on the repeating mosaic and use a moderate opacity. A single mark in a corner can be cropped away in seconds; one that covers the whole picture cannot be removed without damaging the image underneath.
- What do the blend modes do?
- Normal draws the mark on top. Multiply only darkens, which suits a dark mark on a light photo. Screen only lightens, which suits the reverse. Overlay pushes contrast either way.
- Can I use my own logo instead of text?
- Yes. Switch to the Logo tab and choose a file — a PNG with transparency works best. It is stamped onto every image in the batch and scaled to a share of each one’s width, and the logo itself is never watermarked or handed back. For text, you can pick a font, add an outline or a drop shadow, and set the mark across two lines.
